The Need for Meaningful making

Meeting the challenges of the twenty-first century will require the ability to comprehend, communicate and collaborate through and across a myriad of complex, increasingly visual structures. A formalist, skill based visual arts curriculum fails to prepare students to meet these challenges.

An art curriculum based on enduring understandings and habits of mind will engage learners and foster the development of higher order thinking skills that transfer across academic subject areas and contribute to the development of a meaningful life.

This blog is dedicated to meaningful making.
